About the OpenScienSE workshop
About
OpenScienSE aims to bring together researchers and practitioners who are interested in Open Science by providing them with a forum for exchanging experiences about Open Science standards, practices, and challenges. OpenScienSE is also a great opportunity for strengthening research group collaborations, as well as identifying new research opportunities.
According to the UNESCO recommendation, "Open Science is the movement to make scientific research and data accessible to all. It includes practices such as publishing open scientific research, campaigning for open access and generally making it easier to publish and communicate scientific knowledge. Additionally, it includes other ways to make science more transparent and accessible during the research process. This includes open notebook science, citizen science, and aspects of open source software and crowdfunded research projects".
Motivated by the internationally Open Science movement and the characteristics of the Software Engineering field, OpenScienSE was created to provide researchers and practitioners with a means for discussing Open Science practices and challenges. If you are a supporter of Open Science, join us!
For the first time, OpenScienSE will be held physically! The 3rd Workshop on Open Science Practices for Software Engineering (OpenScienSE 2023) is co-located with CBSoft 2023, which will be held in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil.
